An awesomesauce week, except for the mini-drama of geography class

"What are you doing here? Did you -" Genuine disbelief and confusion coloured her voice. It was weird talking to Ms. Stangherlin outside of class, it's weird talking to any teacher outside of class, but I guess in such a small school, it can't really be avoided. At least now I don't have to see her every day, because that would make it weirder. Not like it's some horrible thing that is dreaded, it's just...odd. But it was true, I had been kicked out of class, so I nodded.
"I got kicked out of class."
"Why?!" she asked, shocked. Mr Hassin watched me curiously from beside her.
"I wasn't doing my work."
Mr. Hassin said, "Français, right?"
"Yeah, geo."
He nodded.
She made a look of total disbelief.
"You?" she said. I just smiled and thought, well yeah, obviously. Instead of saying that though, I just continued to smile.
"Yeah, he kicked out Shanel and Jessica for talking and me out for not talking but not doing my work. They got to go to the library, and I got sent to the office."
Mr. Hassin was grinning and Ms. Stangherlin started laughing. Still laughing, she said, with an apologetic look on her face, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be laughing."
"Oh no, it's fine," I mumbled, holding the door open. I was just walking out of the office when this occured, anxious to be on my spare. Those 30 minutes spent in the office were exceptionally slow, especially so after I had finished the work I hadn't been doing in class in the first 10 minutes. I had tried texting Shanel, but for some reason the texting service on my phone wasn't working, so I sat there and eavesdropped on the teachers' conversations. They were talking about gangrene, someone who had got it and was picking at it and didn't want to be found out, but it, obviously, was. This then led to a conversation told by someone whose voice I couldn't place, but I think it was Mr. Hassin, about him cutting his leg with a chainsaw. It was mildly gruesome and Ms. Stangherlin and Ms. McComber made sounds of disgust frequently throughout the tale.
A woman bustled past me with a brief, "Excuse me," as I stepped out of her way. I could tell that the conversation between myself and the teachers was over and as I started to head out, Ms. Stangherlin called out, "Poor you."
I didn't look back, really, but said, half over my shoulder, "Yeah, poor me." And then I left.

Chantal was laughing when she found me in the hall, mocking me for having been forced to do work and for having been sent to the office when the other two had merely been sent out of class. I just laughed and told her about the gangrene. We went to the caf because the library was closed and as Chantal bought a cookie, I told her about my "oh-so-exciting" adventure in the office, and then I gave her a note and mentioned that when my Bye Bye Beautiful DVD single arrived, we had to have a Nightwish party! But we'll see, I guess. Shanel joined us after she finished doing her re-test in math and she, too, started laughing at me. I suppose it is dreafully hilarious that I had to do work. Though I actually prefered the office to the classroom. It just would have been better with something to actually do.

The cafeteria was serving poutine today and I desperately wanted some, but had no money. So Shanel loaned me some and I bought a poutine, but the fries were overcooked and the gravy was too salty, so it was terribly dsappointing. I ate about a quarter of it. I left shortly after, but didn't catch my regular bus, instead I took the 19, where I would transfer onto the 44. My god that was a bad idea. The bus route is much longer, despite it being one less bus to catch. I got home fourty minutes later. The disgusting thing is that my regular bus hadn't even arrived yet. But oh well. I finally got home and checked the mail. I saw a package and I was just thinking how awesome it would be if my Bye Bye Beautiful single arrived, but thought that it was very unlikely as it had only been released a week ago. But lo! I pulled the package out and upon it, in the return-adress corner, was a Nightwish-shop sticker! So I was overjoyed that my package had arrived! I went to watch it immediately, but the DVD player wouldn't play it due to "area limitations". Which is total bullshit. It even says on the back of the DVD that it plays in all regions. So the DVD player is just completely screwed up. I had to take my old DVD player, the cheap one, and hook it up to the TV in my parents' room in order to watch my DVD. And then my mom calls and informs me that she found the Metal Hammer magazine I was looking for! The one with Nightwish on the cover! I was ecstatic!

So overall, this has been an excellent week. 3 days in school, I finished my first portrait (one of Anette, naturally) and it turned out fairly well given the fact that it was my first attempt at such a thing, I learned two new songs on guitar (Higher than Hope and Walking in the Air by Nightwish), my Nightwish Century Child CD arrived from Amazon, Dallas bought us a 46" LCD TV and a ps3, I bought the Nightwish End of an Era DVD and my Nightwish Bye Bye Beautiful DVD arrived today! Great week. Awesome week. It had it's not-so-good points, but overall the good outweighed the bad, and I'm a happy camper with that!

I've updated my fanfic. Chapter 9 isn't the best, it's more of a filler chapter, but it had to be put in. Comment on it, please, please, please.

More Nightwish obsessing!

So, over the weekend I watched End of an Era and End of Innocence, and I've come to a conclusion: Tarja Turunen is AWESOME! I mean, I still like Anette more, but Tarja is wicked cool too. Though EoaE kind of depressed me, when watching the backstage stuff. It was very tense and the only person she really talked to was Marcelo. He was very obnoxious. He followed her around like a pathetic little lost puppy. I wanted to hit him. I wouldn't doubt that he was the cause of Tarja's change of personality.

Now, I want to make my opinion on this matter perfectly clear. I think Nightwish had every right in the world to fire Tarja if she was behaving as she was. However, I don't think they should have done it through an open letter. That is unbelievably harsh. I understand why they might have felt they had to, so that they could explain to the fans why Tarja had been fired, but I really don't think they should have done that. Just imagine being in her shoes, after all. Humiliated in front of millions of people, essentially. Regardless, Tarja was going to leave Nightwish, but it probably could have been much more peacably than that. But whatever. It's in the past, Tarja's picked herself up off the ground and is doing quite well solo, and plus Nightwish got this super awesome new lead singer, and so I guess everyone wound up happy. Except the fans who prefer Tarja in Nightwish, and in fact loathe the new Nightwish.

But enough of that blither and back to Tarja's awesomeness. And Marco's. And Jukka's. Dammit, they're all awesome! So in case you all don't know, EoI is a documentary filmed around Century Child's time, I believe, and is entirely in Finnish. So I had to get some subtitles. But whatever, it was worth it, even if it was confusing. Some of those clips were frickin' hilarious! I LOVE Nightwish SOOOOOOO much!!

I've made a few more icons...only about 80 to go to achieve my goal haha.

Fanfic finally updated. Chapter 8. It isn't that great, but whatever. I took off the password protection on all the chapters, though I imagine I will regret that if Jessica starts critisizing like mad and making me feel like shit. And if that occurs, then the password protect goes back up. And I don't know if Jessica reads this, but if she does: sorry. But I can't handle being put down by you all the time. Whatever. So anyways, there it is, ya'll who were nagging me for it. I should probably work on that video I promised a few people on Youtube back in like...August. Someday, I'll get to work on it. I have to find a song anyway, haha.

But anyways, I'll be off to make myself some lunch. Hope everyone had a fantastic day at school, and on the bright side...tomorrow is a day off!

Hej då!

Sadie: The Beginning.

Sadie is not like any regular tulip. She is unique. She has dreams, she's going places. This much she knows, this much she plans, this much she intends. She will not stay stationary and swaying, dying every winter, being born every spring, like every other tulip. No, she knows she wants a life of adventure, she wants to make a difference. Unfortunately for her, her good friend Kate the frog is of little use, because she sits on a log and bemoans her sorry life and how she'll never meet her true love. Sadie had heard the same old tale too many times for her liking, but being a flower, she could not just up and leave. The worst of it was that the other tulips didn't care about her woe, and Kate was too busy talking about herself to listen to Sadie's problems. Then one day, Sadie had an idea...

To be continued...

The beginnings of Sadie's tale.

Anyways, no fanfic update. I have the general ideas, I know what I want to have happen, but I can't think of the filler, so you'll all have to be patient. No news in this entry other than I've a resolution.

I will make 100 Nightwish icons.

And then you will all believe me (*coughs*...because obviously you didn't already...*shiftyeyes*) when I say that I'm obsessed and hopelessly addicted.

NIGHTWISH IS MY DRUG!

But I never ever ever want to go to rehab.
