Canadian bands and other musical junk! Yay!

Hey all.

I know I tend to write a lot in my blog, long entries and frequently, and I'm sorry. Can you lot forgive me?

I just can't seem to help myself. I start typing away and before I know it, I've written a page worth of ramblings. Sometimes not just rambling, but you know what I mean. And I hope that doesn't bother anyone. I just realized that pretty much all my entries are really long because I went through my blog. I honestly don't realize it when I'm typing.

ANYWAYS, wooo 1,000 views in the month of April on my fanfic! I know I said I don't rely on views and comments, but that totally doesn't mean they don't make me extremely happy and proud for once of something that I do! ^.^
And the chapter I'm posting up momentarily is more CHEESE but it had to be told from two points of view, so...um...yeah. Enjoy!

Now, to blither on about something no one will care about for a bit...
I was watching MuchLoud this afternoon, as I do every afternoon because there is NOTHING on TV at 1 pm, and this song came on. And I realized that I hadn't heard that song in quite some time, and I actually enjoy it a lot more now that it doesn't play on the radio every like two songs. Man, both Power 97 AND Hot 103 played that song nonstop in 2006. And then it and the band dropped off the face of the Earth. Don't you just love one-hit wonders? And poor Stabilo, they're going to go down in Canadian history as a major two-hit wonder. Though retardedly, Everybody doesn't have the video on Youtube, even though it was their biggest hit (and with good reason. I still adore that song to this day). Flawed Design, on the other hand, has a marvellous video (I TOTALLY want one of those masks), even if Jesse looks kind of weird with all that blinking. Apparently that's what people do when they aren't used to having cameras in their faces, though, and I guess Stabilo wouldn't be used to that, being a tiny little band after all. One More Pill was the first Stabilo song I heard, the video on MTV2, but the song gets and got no radio airplay. Kidding Ourselves (ooo look I commented on that video! A year ago...before I stopped commenting at all on Youtube) got kind of big for awhile, and was the song that prompted me to buy their album Happiness & Disaster. It's too bad that the actual video isn't on Youtube, because that is by far their best video. You can watch the real video here, but I don't know if that site works outside of Canada, or if anyone cares anyway! :)

My god, I love Canadian music. I start listening to so many bands just because they're Canadian and then I fall in love with them, but it's all good (except for when they tour because they're usually so tiny they can only go to bars so I can't go see them) because at least their albums are sold in the CD stores here! UNLIKE ALL THE GODDAMN EUROPEAN BANDS I KEEP GETTING INTO. Bad, bad Europe, spawning such good metal.

Incidentally, I'm totally into Papa Roach's Scars right now, even though I normally hate that song because a) it has emo lyrics (thank god Jacoby doesn't have an emo voice) and b) it played WAY TOO MUCH on the radio in 2005.

So, I never mentioned that my Nightwish tanktop arrived about a week ago! It is by far my favourite article of Nightwish merchandise. It's one of the like...two articles of clothing that actually make me feel good about myself! I definitely recommend to any chick who intends to order something from the Nightwish shop, or even people who aren't. Muhaha.

TOTALLY PUMPED FOR PAPA ROACH'S ALBUM! It's to be called "Days of Love, Nights of War" and to be released in August! They're on live webcam right now, recording it (without sound) and it's so fucking funny reading the chat when one of the band members comes to talk to us. How the hell do bands put up with such retarded fans?
"OMG JACOBY TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES!"
or when Jerry's at the cam, "JERRY GO GET JACOBY!"
like wtf? You have there a brilliant guitarist who's willing to take some time and chat with us and all anyone cares about it Jacoby. YES Jacoby is fucking sexy and I'd jump him in an instant, but GAH! His fangirls are fucking INSANE! There is more to the band than just one person! ALSO Tobin is unbelievably hot now. Last album...ehm...not so much (understatement)...but he got a haircut and WOW. O.O. I'd jump him in an instant too. Haha how many guys are on my "to-fuck" list? Many, many, and far older than me. Ahh well, I don't think I could ever be a groupie anyway. Talk about totally crossing tons of my own ethical lines.

Though I gotta say, I've got a much greater appreciation for guys with long hair ever since Nightwish. LONG HAIR ISH SHEXY!

ALSO! I WANT A NIGHTWISH MYSPACE LAYOUT! But I am inept. I must search for long and tedious hours for one, and even then probably come up blank. But it's all cool. I do need a new background on there though. I think I've had my current one for like...10 months or so.

So, I'll leave you all be.

ALSO girl guitarists ftw! I totally saw two bands on MuchLoud with girl guitarists. YAY!
Countdown: 13 days!

Currently Listening: Wake Up by Three Days Grace

I'm not angry all the time.
You push me down, at least, you try.
Until we see this eye to eye,
I don't want you.
It took so long to see
You walked away from me
When I need you.
