I didn't get to watch the match, unfortunately, because I slept through it, but Germany beat Poland! YAY!
I'm talking about Euro 2008, for those who don't know.
While I'm not a major soccer addict, and I don't follow it closely, I did get totally into Fifa 2006 (I was very angry at Canada for not even qualifying) as people shall remember from the France vs. Italy match. I was totally spazzing out that night, because France was SO CLOSE. SO CLOSE SO CLOSE SO CLOSE.
Anyways, Euro 2008 is gonna be cool, and I'm happy Germany won hee! I'm curious to see how Sweden will do on the 10th and France tomorrow. Those are the three teams I'm cheering for. GO TEAMS GO!
Oh god, I wish it was 2010 for the next Fifa World Cup. 2010...that will be another kickass year. Think about it: Nightwish with a new album, Papa Roach likely in the studio again, Fifa, the winter Olympics in Vancouver, I will have been done with high school for a year by then, and hopefully will be heading off to Europe for exchange with the university. If things go according to plan, I'm betting 2010 will almost be as good as 2008. Maybe. No way of predicting the future, though.
Fifa 2006 was epic though. And my favourite player (Zinedine Zidane) won best player! Despite his infamous headbutt haha.
I tried to watch the last half hour of the Germany vs. Poland match today, and then Dallas is like,"SPORTS?!" and I'm like, "Yeah, soccer!" and he just grumbles something, so I changed it to Punk'd.
Okay, enough soccer talk.
